Content mod for Mount & Blade

Mount & Blade: Warband – Warlord Mod is a game utility created by AnOldRetiredElephant. It is a very simple mod that works to add the Bannerlord factions to the action role-playing game, Mount & Blade. However, you can only add this content to the multiplayer mode. Players who want to add the faction to the single-player mode are out of luck, as the author has no plans to add it to the single-player mode.

Get new allies

Mount & Blade: Warband is actually a stand-alone expansion pack to Mount & Blade game. It expands the original game by adding a sixth faction: the Sarranid Sultanate. By doing so, it increases the players’ political options and adds the ability for the players to start their own faction. More than the new factions, it also adds a new multiplayer mode, which removes all of the RPG and map elements from the single-player mode. On top of that, the expansion pack contains slightly improved graphics, as well as new and altered combat animations.

The Bannerlord factions, meanwhile, are eight major factions and kingdoms introduced in Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord. These are groups that you can ally with when you play the game. Every faction comes with a primary recruit and a rare secondary, both with their own line of upgrades. As noted, the Warlord Mod takes the Bannerlord factions from the second Mount & Blade game and adds it to the first installment.

With this, you can have more allies that you can choose. However, unlike other modifications, there is no other feature of this app. It just adds the factions and nothing more. There is no enhancement to the visuals and gameplay. There are also no fixes for any bug issues that the vanilla game and expansion pack have. To make it worse, the factions are not available in the single-player mode

Limited offering

If you love the first Mount & Blade game and would like a new faction to ally with, then Mount & Blade: Warband – Warlord Mod is a good option. It brings the eight kingdoms in Bannerlord to the first title, so you can have more political options. However, if you are looking for more content—or even enhancements—you are up for a disappointment because the mod has a very limited offering.

PROS

  • Adds Bannerlord factions

CONS

  • Not available in the single-player mode
  • Does not offer anything else
